ROBERT D COLLINS, AIA

BED, MArch, LEED AP

Director of Architecture

Robert received his Master of Architecture degree from the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.  He is a full Member of the American Institute of Architects as a registered Architect in the state of California, a registered Architect with the Architect’s Institute of British Columbia in Canada, and a LEED accredited professional.

Originally from Canada, Robert has been pursuing his passion for custom residential design within the Los Angeles area for the last 19 years, initially within the offices of Hayne Architects (Malibu) and later Studio Tim Campbell (Los Angeles).  While navigating the various LA Planning and Building departments, Robert became an expert in local codes and governmental procedures, a skill he is highly praised for.

Robert is a well-rounded professional who thrives in building relationships, project management, developing design solutions and overseeing construction administration.  It is his nature to approach each task with a calculated balance of creativity and pragmatism.  Robert is a proven leader and has been affectionately called “the Guardian” by colleagues and employees.  This moniker is well suited to his character as he takes great pride in being accountable to, and earning the respect of, his clients and fellow team members.

As Director of Architecture, Robert oversees design and management for all our projects at Modus Design Group.
